A Knitter with Wit

Just spotted these crazy cute stuffed knitted toys and pillows made by Sara Carr (via Eat Drink Chic.)  I'm in love! 

And on a separate note, a big huge thank you to Jessica Pigza and Maura Madden, hosts of yesterday's Crafternoon event at the New York Public Library. WOW!  What a fun afternoon, filled with great people, lots of stitching and schmoozing, and even complimentary Peppermint Patties and Swedish Fish. The whole event had such a warm, inviting, creative vibe, thanks to Jessica and Maura -- who I am so tickled to have met!  And thank you to everyone who attended -- (lots of crafters, sewers and just plain inspiring folks--including another witty knitter, CJ Arabia.)  Thanks also to Jessica's hubby for selling books, and for Maura's mom for cheering us all on. I had a blast and can't wait for the next one!
